Learn The Internet With Video Professor

The Internet in the past few decades has developed from a rudimentary networking tool to a global phenomenon with no end in sight. The Internet is a resource that can be mined for entertainment, business networking opportunities, the chance to make a name for oneself on a global scale or any number of the myriad possibilities which abound on the Web's countless pages. The first step to Internet navigation skills, however, is a trustworthy teacher and a comfortable instructional environment.

What environment, after all, is more comfortable than your own home? Video Professor keeps your hours. Studies have shown that users vary greatly in their learning styles. It is also true that users can be more or less able to focus on new information depending on the time of day. Some users have greater energy and drive during the morning hours, while others prefer to study late at night. Whatever your schedule, the Internet is open for business 24/7 and so is Video Professor.

Once you have popped in the first (out of a total of three in the complete tutorial) "Learn The Internet" CD-ROM into your computer, you have already taken the first important step toward learning to navigate the Internet with ease and skill. In that first disc of the three-disc "Learn The Internet" set, you will learn the basic ideas and definitions that the Internet is based on, and these pivotal pieces of knowledge will aid you through your next lessons. In that first disc, you will learn the history of the Internet, how to use a search engine like Google™ to achieve optimal search results, how to explore the World Wide Web and how to use e-mail. Armed with this basic knowledge, a Video Professor student has attained a knowledge base that will serve them well as they continue through the second and third CD-ROMs of their "Learn The Internet" tutorial.

In disc two, a Video Professor student will learn to navigate using Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, how to protect private information online and how to communicate in real-time, online settings such as instant messaging, bulletin boards and forums. The third disc, which introduces a more advanced level of Internet knowledge, explores the ins and outs of customizing a stock portfolio, how to download Internet programs, how to process advanced e-mail features and more.

Although it is impossible to completely discover all the corners of the Internet, here at Video Professor we believe that the Internet doesn't have to remain a total mystery. Video Professor's "Learn The Internet" tutorial is a great lesson for those individuals who want to learn more about what the Web has to offer.
